Has your EU-funded project created meaningful change in your region?

The REGIOSTARS Awards 2026 offer a unique opportunity to showcase impactful results and highlight the added value of Cohesion Policy across Europe.

Projects demonstrating tangible results, innovation and potential for replication are invited to apply by 22 May 2026 via the “EU Survey REGIOSTARS application form“.

Projects compete under the following categories:

• Category 1: A COMPETITIVE AND SMART EUROPE

• Category 2: A GREEN EUROPE

• Category 3: A CONNECTED EUROPE

• Category 4: A SOCIAL AND INCLUSIVE EUROPE

• Category 5: A EUROPE CLOSER TO THE CITIZENS

Completed projects whose implementation started after 1 January 2014 are eligible to participate in the competition.

An independent jury of academics will select up to five finalists per category, who will advance to the Final Round. The winners will be revealed during the European Week of Regions and Cities, when the awards ceremony will also take place (Brussels, October 2026)..
