No alternative text description for this image

Two significant Operations of Strategic Importance were approved in the context of Interreg VI-A IPA Greece-Albania 2021-2027 programme.

The DIGITAL project (RSO2.6.) – “Introducing digital tools for monitoring waste management in urban areas” – promotes the transition to a circular and resource efficient economy. The operation of strategic importance aims to develop concrete solutions in the field of household waste management by adopting the “Earn as You Throw” (EAYT) system to strengthen the separate collection of recyclables, and thus, contribute to reducing pollution in the cross-border area

The main objective of the CIRCLE project (RSO2.6.) – “Circular Economy Park” – is waste management by promoting the prevention, minimisation, sorting, reuse and recycling in the programme area of the two countries. In particular, the strategic project fosters circular economy and the management of agricultural and aquatic waste (e.g., algae, crop residues).
