We are thrilled to announce that the “Digital Skills for Citizens” event, in the context of the Interreg CBC IPA Greece-Albania Programme, held in Corfu, has received the prestigious award for “Best Project Engagement” among Interreg events for the year 2023!
This distinction was bestowed by Interact.eu, the organisation that supports Interreg programs in communication and cooperation. The event, featured on Interreg’s social media channels, is included in the Guide for Interreg Cooperation Day 2024!
The Hellenic Ionian University, and specifically the Department of Informatics / CMODLAB, hosted the event at their premises, providing support. Moreover, the University of Ioannina, the Waste Management of Western Macedonia – DIADYMA S.A., the Centre for Renewable Energy Resources – CRES, the Chamber of Western Macedonia, and Epirus S.A. contributed in achieving this award.
The emblematic Achillion Palace, generously hosted the morning exhibition of the deliverable within its remarkable premises.
This recognition underscores the synergy between project partners and local actors.
Between the participants of the event, it is worth mentioning the former Mayor of Corfu, Meropi-Spyridoula Ydraiou, for her warm welcome and unwavering support, the Head of the Regional Council of Korçë, Mr Erjon Nexhipi, as well as representatives of the Albanian National Authority (SASPAC) and regional and local authorities.
