The 8th and final Call for Project Proposals under the Interreg Euro-MED Programme 2021–2027, with an indicative budget of approximately €20 million, is expected to be published in September 2026. The submission of project proposals will open in JEMS on 1 October 2026.
Project proposals must address and contribute to the following Specific Objectives under the Programme’s Missions, as follows:
Innovative Sustainable Economy
1.1 Strengthening a competitive innovation ecosystem
2.6 Supporting the transition to a circular economy
Natural Heritage
2.7 Enhancing nature and biodiversity
Green Living Areas
2.7 Enhancing nature and biodiversity

- Innovation
- Circular economy
- Ecosystem restoration
- Biodiversity resilience
- Urban resilience and public health
- Urban agriculture
- Sustainable food systems

To support the further development of project proposals under the 8th Call, the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme will organise an online information session on 22 September 2026 (date to be confirmed). The session will provide an overview of the approved Terms of Reference of the Call and the project proposal assessment methodology, making participation highly recommended for all potential applicants; detailed information about the agenda and registration will be available on the Programme’s website.
