The 8th and final Call for Project Proposals under the Interreg Euro-MED Programme 2021–2027, with an indicative budget of approximately €20 million, has been published and is available here. The submission of project proposals may be submitted through JEMS from 1 October 2026 to 13 November 2026.
Project proposals must address and contribute to the following Specific Objectives under the Programme’s Missions, as follows:
Innovative Sustainable Economy
1.1 Strengthening a competitive innovation ecosystem
2.6 Supporting the transition to a circular economy
Natural Heritage
2.7 Enhancing nature and biodiversity
Green Living Areas
2.7 Enhancing nature and biodiversity
Indicative thematic areas that project proposals may address include:
- Innovation
- Circular economy
- Ecosystem restoration
- Biodiversity resilience
- Urban resilience and public health
- Urban agriculture
- Sustainable food systems

To support the development and submission process of project proposals under the 8th Call, the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme is organising an online information session on 22 September 2026. The session will provide an overview of the approved Terms of Reference of the Call and the project proposal assessment methodology, making participation highly recommended for all potential applicants. Further technical meetings will be held on October 10th and November 13th.
