The first INFORM EU plenary of 2025, held in Tallinn, Estonia and titled “Truth and Trust: Communicators vs Disinformationin” included two and a half days, 16 to 18 June, full of speeches, workshops and presentations.
The keynote speech at the beginning of the plenary, delivered by Fabiana Zollo (University of Venice, Italy), was dedicated to the challenge of misinformation as a complex phenomenon, noting that solutions often tend to focus on content rather than contextual factors.
Many interesting speakers and meetings followed, hands-on workshops were delivered by practitioners and experts, and media programme for journalists, showcasing EU-funded projects and highlighting EC’s efforts in fighting disinformation, as well as projects’ visits were organised.
It is worth mentioning that, during the plenary, it was announced that applications were submitted in the framework of “Regio Stars 2025”, including applications of projects imlemented under the “Interreg Greece-Italy 2014-2020” Programme. The relevant applications are currently under the eligibility check process.
