The final results of the 5th Call for Project Proposals of “Interreg Euro-MED 2021-2027” for the Thematic-Strategic-Territorial projects were approved, during the 13th Monitoring Committee Meeting of the Programme, held in Split (Croatia), on June 25, 2025.
Specifically, out of the 25 project proposals admitted to Step 2-Full Applications, 9 projects were approved for funding with a total budget of €34.67 million.
In this context, a total of 14 beneficiaries (LP/Partners) located in Greece have successfully engaged in 8 projects (out of 9 approved projects), with an overall budget of 5.179.595,5€ (80% EU funds, 20% national contribution), dedicated to supporting actions implemented in Greece. Notably, the University of Western Macedonia and the University of Patras will play pivotal roles as Lead partners, reflecting their commitment to leadership and collaboration in the Mission “Strengthening an innovative sustainable economy”.
